CxG Aviva
CXG Aviva (Cxg Aviva Corporación Caixa Galicia de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A) is the new name of Bia Galicia, the life insurance business of Caixa Galicia.
Bia Galicia de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A. was created on February 13, 1988. In November it gained authorisation to operate as a pension fund management company.
The company joined the Aviva Group upon the signing of a bancassurance deal with Caixa Galicia on July 31, 2001 and started to distribute Aviva pension and insurance products through the branch network of Bia Galicia.
In January 2008 Bia Galicia was rebranded to CxG Aviva.

Caixa Galicia
Caixa Galicia is the result of seven mergers and two partial acquisitions. This process began in 1978, when Caja de La Coruña, Caja de Lugo and Caja de de Ferrol merged and were rebranded as Caixa Galicia.
In 1980, Caixa Galicia acquired Caja de Ahorros de Santiago and, in 1982, Caja de Ahorros Provincial de Lugo. Afterwards, Caja Rural de Pontevedra and Caja Rural de Orense were acquired. The process was completed in 1992 with the purchase of Caja Rural de León.
The Caixa Galicia distribution network comprises of 815 branches in Spain and nine representation offices abroad. It is the largest financial business in Galicia and one of the biggest in Spain. At 31 December, it had 4756 employees. In 2006 it reached €186.08 m profit after tax and €62,426 m business volume.
